Reward Cards...

Reward Cards for my 4th Graders!!!

I saw these rewards on various teacher blogs, and also from Mel D's blog and store, called Seusstastic Classroom Inspirations.

I love the little sea creature clip art.  I think my 4th graders will love to buy these in our classroom store as prizes.  It will also help me with not having to buy a lot of prizes to replenish our store.  =)

I also found this cute little pencil pouch that is in the shape of a pencil.  He is so adorable!!!  =)  I put special pens, highlighters, pencils, erasers, etc... inside, and I am using it for the Reward where students get to use the teacher's special supplies.

Substitute Teacher Binder

Monday, July 30, 2012
Wow, it is getting close to school beginning, and I feel like I have so much to do!  I really need to make a new list and prioritize some of my to do's.  :)

Anyway, I am linking up again with Tara from 4th Grade Frolics, for today's Monday Made It.

First on my list today was to cut out all of the things I laminated over the weekend at Lakeshore teaching store.  Abby, our Ragdoll cat, loved the Lakeshore bag.  =)

My "Monday Made It" is my new Substitute Teacher Binder.  I love how cute the pages turned out!  :)  Once I get all of my new information for the school year put inside it, it will be very helpful for any substitute that I might have this next year.

Fabulous Teacher Toolbox!

Wednesday, July 25, 2012
I LOVE my Teacher Toolbox! =)

I just finished taping in my last label for my cute Teacher Toolbox.  I was inspired by all of the toolboxes I saw on so many blogs, so I bought mine from Lowes.

I primed it, spray painted it white, glued on a cute ribbon, and made my beachy labels.  I can't wait to set it up in my classroom and fill the drawers.

I am loving my summer vacation, blogging, and getting so many fabulous ideas to use for this fast approaching school year.

Now I am off to go read some more from my Guided Math book by Laney Sammons.  =)  If you have any advice or ideas on how you implement the strategies in your classroom, feel free to leave me a comment.

Birthday Balloons...

Happy Birthday Straw Balloons!!!

Well, after seeing so many Birthday Balloons on all of the teacher blogs I adore, I finished making a class set for my 4th graders.

I decorated a plastic container with ribbon, a sign, and tissue paper to help my balloons stand up like a floral arrangement.  I think they are so sweet, and I can't wait for my students to pick them out when it is their birthday.

"Tap Lights" Math Games

Monday, July 23, 2012

I have finished a few things today, but my huge project was my Tap Light Math Binder.  I love being able to link up with Tara's "Monday Made It," at 4th Grade Frolics.  I always get so many wonderful ideas from amazing teachers across the country.  :)

          Cute Tap Lights...
I bought the Tap Light Math Bundle from Michelle's TPT store.  It is so cute!  Thanks Michelle for such an adorable idea.

Here is how I put it all together for my Math Center baskets:

I put all of my Tap Light pages on cute card stock, and tied them together in a bundle for each specific game.  I put the cards on scrapbook paper, and I just finished laminating them.  I bought rings to put the cards on, so they are kept all together.

My 4th graders will love playing this game, especially with the moon shaped Tap Lights I bought from the Dollar Tree.

So much fun, and very cute!  Have fun checking out the Tap Lights on Michelle's TPT store or her blog: No Monkey Business.

"Compliment Clips"

Sweet Compliment Clips...

I found this idea from Colleen on her blog called, Totally Terrific in Texas.

I used to write the word Compliments on my white board, and add a tally mark each time our class received a compliment from other staff, teachers, principal, etc...  Once they earned 10 tally marks, I would take them outside and play a fun game.

I love the bucket I decorated so much more than just writing the tally marks on the white board.  The clips were left over from the ones I bought from the Dollar Store.

The little saying was from Colleen; I just added the octopus, because the theme in my classroom is beach/ocean.
My 4th graders will love to earn compliments and remove all 10 clips for some extra fun outside.  :)  Everyone should strive to give 10 compliments each day.  The compliments we give is also a great way to reinforce all the things I do around being a "Bucket Filler" as well.

My compliment for all the teachers who have been sharing their ideas during their summer vacation; your hard work and creativity is inspiring to me.

Fun Friday Finds...

Shopping at Target!

After seeing so many teachers posting about the "Snap-Its," I found some at Target.  I think my 4th graders will love getting these as rewards.  I also found some cute Dr. Seuss bookmarks in Target's dollar bins.

The mini white board erasers will go inside my baskets for my Math Centers.  I finally found some straws for the Birthday Balloons I am making.  I will post pictures of my Birthday Balloons later.  It was a fun shopping day!

Now time to clean and organize the kitchen.  I can't see my table top with all of the crafting and fun materials.  :)  Have a great day, and if you find some wonderful things from Target or other stores feel free to leave a comment about what you found.

I am still looking for the stress light bulbs that Tara at 4th Grade Frolics, and others have posted on their blogs, but no such luck!

4th graders "Math About Me" Dolls

Thursday, July 19, 2012
Super Cute "Math About ME" Dolls...

I got this Art/Math idea from a teacher I used to teach with.  I did it last year during the first week of school, and I plan on doing it again this year.  They looked so cute hanging up for our "Back to School" Night.  :)

First, the kids picked three or more numbers that represented them somehow.  (birth date, number of people in their family, shoe size, favorite lucky number)  For example: if their birthday was on the 24th, they could write number sentences like 6X4=24, 4X6=24, or 12+12=24, etc...

Then, they came up with number sentences to represent the numbers those chose.  I checked their papers, before they were given the nice final paper to make their picture frame boxes for their number sentences.

Finally, they decorated a body shape to resemble themselves.  I think our "Math About Me" Dolls are super cute.  Feel free to share this idea, and have fun making your own!

Classroom Fairy Treat Pail

My Cute Little Pail...

I found this cute little idea from Shannon at "Sweet-n-sassy in 2nd," for a treat from the Classroom Fairy for having a neat desk.

I decorated a teeny-tiny pail that I bought from Michaels.  I think my 4th graders are going to LOVE having this appear on the desk that is the neatest and most organized.  And I will LOVE having neat desks!  :)

I think I will add a small piece of colored tissue paper inside, so they can't see what the treat is until they open the pail.  It is fun to be surprised!
